Born in 1977, Wang Yirong is from Shandong Province, China. She is listed as “the Successor of the Fine Brushwork Style with Enriched Colors in China” by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Evaluation Committee of the People’s Republic of China and is recommended as a Master for National Gifts. She has been given the title of “China’s Queen of Fine Brushwork Painting” and appraised as a First Class Artist by the Department of Culture of the Chinese Government. She is also a painting artist of the Zhongyi Qingyun Calligraphy and Painting Institute under the Department of Culture of the Chinese Government and the Vice Dean of the Beijing Houde Haoshu Painting Institute. In 2002, she attended the World’s Chinese Art Exhibition, representing Chinese painting. She was appraised as a “World’s Chinese Art Talent”. Her works have frequently won Gold awards in major national calligraphy and painting contests in China and have been collected by organizations such as the United Nations Chinese Friendship Association.

This fine brushwork painting with enriched colors of lotuses and carp has a beautiful composition and properly arranged shadings. Its colors are bright and vivid, and the forms of the objects are lifelike. It can indeed be called unique and special.
