Geng Yuxuan was born in Cang, Hebei Province, China in 1962. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a Director of the China International Research Institute of the Art of Calligraphy and Painting under the Department of Culture of the Chinese Government, a Painter at the Academy of Fine Art of Central Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association, a member of the Sino-Japanese Artists Exchange Association, and a First Class Special-Invite Painting Artist at Toushou Bijutsu Kabushiki in Japan. There are real international auction prices for his works. He is proficient in fine brushwork paintings of carp, bird-and-flower and animals. In 1999, he received the Gold Award in the Light of the Chinese Century Grand Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition held by the Department of Culture of the Chinese Government. In 2006, he was named a “Philanthropy Artist”. His works are collected by museums and cultural organizations inside and outside of China, including the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Artists Association, the Memorial Hall of Qi Baishi, World Horticulture Expo in Yunnan Province, China, and MPC Publishing House in Japan as well as Chinese national institutions overseas.
